This couple was so much fun! Their wedding was laid back, full of delicious food, and had an Italian-tandem bicycle theme. Their day started with the ceremony taking place at Holy Rosary Church in Washington, D.C., where the bride's grandfather was baptized and served as an alter boy when he was young. Their guests then moved on to hang out in the couple's neighborhood and enjoyed Happy Hour at a beer garden, Wunder Garten, while the bride and groom snuck away for portraits on their tandem bicycle. You've got to love a bride who is willing to throw on a pair of bike shorts, hike up her dress, and ride down their favorite trail on the way to the reception! They joined their guests at Wunder Garten for a few drinks and then walked (and biked) as a group over to Masseria, a new gourmet Italian restaurant near Union Market. The weather was absolutely perfect for their patio reception and the guests were treated to an amazing four course dinner. They ended the night with plenty of dancing and sent their guests away with homemade olive oil. Enjoy!
I had the privilege of creating the bouquets for this lovely affair. The bride DIY'd the boutonnieres and the centerpieces, but she had a specific vision in mind for the bouquets and asked me to bring it to life. I love the way these deep fall colors look together. Enjoy!
Ya'll. Let me tell you something. It was so incredibly hard to choose which pictures to use for this post. There were so many talented vendors investing their heart and souls into this shoot, and Annamarie captured everything so beautifully. When Wollam Gardens announced that they were opening a wedding venue on their flower farm, I knew I wanted to do a shoot there. What could possibly be better than getting married completely surrounded by fields of flowers? Nothing. Their venue is truly stunning and I only wish it had been around when I got married! So I teamed up with Darlings and Daydreams and together we decided that, in addition to the gorgeous setting, we would also some of Needle and Knot's woven wall hangings as the basis for our inspiration. Everything came together so seamlessly the day of the shoot, and turned out even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
