Historic Sydenstricker Schoolhouse Holiday Party

I've been with the Historic Sydenstricker Schoolhouse for about a year now and have been loving every minute of it. It is a historic one room schoolhouse that is looking to get back to its roots and serve the community as a center for social events and parties. Some events are hosted by the schoolhouse itself, but it is also available to rent for parties (like this one), workshops, etc. Their annual holiday party was in December and I was able to donate some local winter arrangements. I also got to help decorate their tree with ornaments made by children in our community over the years, so that was a lot of fun too! I love being able to be a part of a tight knit community, especially in such a busy, populated area. Its so great to sit around the table and listen to stories about my hometown from those who have lived here since the roads were dirt and the land was for farming! Enjoy!

Orange is the Best Fall Color

I ended up bringing home some leftovers from this fall wedding so I was able to make a little something for our neighbors. Thanks to Standard and Pea for the gorgeous succulents! Enjoy!

Freely Collective Open House

Social media can be such a wonderful thing! Through Instagram, I discovered the Freely Collective and I am ever so glad that I did! They are a small group of women who create and sell the most gorgeous hand crafted paper and home goods, aiming to raise funds to contribute to the fight against human trafficking. They also accept custom work, such as wedding invitations and stationary! I was lucky enough to team up with them just in time to donate flowers for their open house launch back in November. Take a look at the wonderful event and please visit their website to learn more about the amazing things they are doing. And buy some beautiful home and paper goods! Enjoy!

Piled the leftovers in my favorite brass vase for a little extra something-something!

Is that headboard not the most stunning headboard out there?!?

This beauty went home with me!

A Daily Gathering: Intro to Modern Calligraphy

I had the privilege of working with Rebecca from A Daily Something and Lindsay of Shrimp Salad Circus to provide the flowers for Lindsay's Intro to Modern Calligraphy workshop. We wanted to go local with the flowers and I was able to get some gorgeous mums, lilies, evergreens, and orange ilex. I love how natural and fall-y everything felt. I was also lucky enough to stay and attend the workshop and now feel like a calligraphy pro, thanks to Lidnsay's wonderful instruction! She showed us the basics and then let us find our own style of calligraphy. It was a wonderful class attended by so many lovely ladies. I had such a great time.

A big thank you to the rest of the incredible sponsors!
